While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I found behind its threshold was disturbing and far below any standard .

The ground was covered in grime , and a pungent odor of old alcohol and neglected washrooms permeated the entire venue . Smelling a mixture of ammonia , putrefaction and illness . The counter , which should be the primary feature of any pub, was littered with unwashed glassware and litter that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks . The bathroom was in even a truly awful state— backed up, with a cracked flush mechanism and walls covered in what I can only assume was human excrement .
